Personal Statement
Hello,
My name is Grace Erwin, and I am a graduate of George Washington University with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication. I previously worked in the digital department of NBC5 Chicago where I wrote articles daily for the website.
During my time at NBC5 Chicago, I garnered experience in news reporting, feature writing, SEO, AP Style and more. I reported on local Chicago news as well as the Paris Olympics and the presidential election.
My work has been published on NBC News National, NBC5 Chicago, Rewire News Group and Planet Forward.
I have always had a passion for storytelling through features, as well as reporting news. Throughout my various internships and class assignments, I have been able to reach vast audiences and provide information about local news and national events.
My body of work showcases my ability to interview sources and write digestible, compelling content to inform audiences of the events in their communities and around the country.
